Anna joined Michelin in 2007 as an Industrial Engineer. Through her drive to always treat people with respect, advocate for progress and never lose site of the customer, she quickly progressed into other roles, including a training manager, human resources manager, recruiter, human resources director and plant manager. In less than 15 years, Michelin has invested time, care and training to evolve my career. They have invested more training hours in growing my skills and competencies than I spent earning my Bachelors in Engineering, said Anna. Managers and mentors alike have taken time to provide support, feedback and exposure that is priceless. Each and every day, Michelin strives to create an environment where employees feel accepted, valued and respected. By building and retaining a workforce that reects the world around it, Michelin creates a culture where new and dierent ideas ourish and innovation thrives. I know Im valued at Michelin, because my voice is heard, said Anna. My voice is not ltered as that of a Latina mother or wife. It is heard, appreciated and respected as an equal team member. I strive to echo that same culture of listening with respect. As a woman, I tend to underestimate my own capabilities or feel I am not fully qualied for the next role. Time after time, I'm surprised when someone recognizes my work ethic, energy and passion. The best advice Ive received is You can do it. Take the risk. Just go for it. This advice has opened incredible opportunities for me.
