Amount: Up to $20,000 Requirements: This scholarship is spe- cifically intended for students of lower or disadvantaged backgrounds who want to pursue behavior, biomedical or social science health related fields. The program additionally offers students paid research and employment opportunities during the summer and after graduation. Proof of inancial income will be required to join. Society of Women Engineers Scholarships
The Society of Women Engineers (SWE) offers several scholarships specifically for women who want to earn a degree in a sector of engineering. Amount: $1,000-$5,000, depending on specific scholarship Requirements: All scholarships are for fe- male identifying individuals wanting to pur- sue an ABET-accredited undergraduate or graduate degree in engineering, engineering technology, and computer science. Students will complete one application that will apply to all of SWE's available scholarships. American Meteorological Society (AMS) Minority Scholarships
The AMS Minority Scholarships are for minority undergraduate students that want to pursue a degree in the STEM field. Amount: $6,000 ($3,000 in freshman year, $3,000 sophomore year) Requirements: This degree is for under- graduate students of non-Caucasian descent wanting to pursue a degree in oceanic, atmospheric or hydrologic areas of study. Since Native Americans, Latinx, and Black/ African American students are often under- represented in the field, they are especially encouraged to apply. National Society of High School Scholars (NSHSS) Stem Scholarships
The NSHSS Stem scholarships are spe- cifically designed for current high school seniors looking to pursue any kind of degree in the STEM field upon graduation. Amount: $1,000 Requirements: Applicants must be high school seniors planning to pursue a STEM degree. Students will have to submit a 500-word essay on why they wish to pursue their chosen career path and major to be selected. STEM Teacher Graduate Scholarships
This scholarship is specifically designed for students wanting to earn a degree and a credential to teach STEM subjects. Amount: $2,500-$5,000 Requirements: Must be either a graduate or an undergraduate. Applicants that ex- press wanting to earn their credential must have their bachelor's degree or master's degree in a STEM subject.
